BANGALORE: A week after IIM aspirants faced problems while registering online, the issue has been resolved. Till last week, CAT takers were finding it difficult to edit personal information after they inadvertently missed many required fields. IIMs and Prometric have come up with the following solutions:

Correcting your personal and application data

From the evening of September 18, candidates can log on to https://iim.prometric.com to reschedule CAT date, update candidate profile such as personal details (address), application data (educational information), interview location, etc. They can then request for their admit card to be re-sent.

* Candidates who have erred can access this facility to make amendments to their profile till October 8. Rescheduling, however, will still end on October 1. For security reasons, editing candidate's full name and user ID are not allowed.

Have you purchased a second voucher?

Candidates who have bought additional voucher due to registration errors will be refunded for the second voucher. They must write a request to Prometric by filling in the online form at http://www.prometric.com/IIM-CAT/contactus with the subject: "I have a problem with my voucher number...'' Candidate Care will then get back on how this can be done.

The CAT committee has allowed candidates with cerebral palsy, besides low vision or blindness, to take help of scribes for attempting CAT 2009.

`The Times of India' recently reported that the CAT committee on its website had failed to mention availability of scribes for candidates with cerebral palsy, whereas those with low vision were allowed to have scribes.

Some rules have to be followed, though. First, candidates need to apply for a scribe online. The scribe must not be related to the candidate and should be below 19 years as on October 31, 2009. The person should be less qualified than the candidate.
